One of best places for students to gain an appreciation of music and
drama has to be London’s West End, from the big West End Shows to the
modern plays and musicals, students can observe the immense work and
choreography that goes into these performances. Combine your London tour
with a visit to some of the top attractions. For modern music studies, visit
Liverpool, the birthplace of the Beatles and find out about how they got their
inspiration, or discover where one of the world’s greatest playwrights William
Shakespeare, found his inspiration in Stratford upon Avon. Wales has a superb
array of venues for performances, from historic castles to the impressive
Wales Millennium Centre, and both day trips and tours can be arranged.
Ireland
The Irish are famous for their traditional music and Irish dancing which can be heard all over the country from city centre pubs to rural festivals. Experience the ‘Craic’ of the Irish and explore a country rich in culture and history, from traditional dancing, famous writers to up and coming comedians. There is a great deal for pupils to learn from our Celtic cousins.
Scotland
Music, drama, literature and dance all play a large role in Scottish culture. From foot tapping jigs to the renowned Edinburgh Festival and Fringe, all through the year in venues across Scotland you will find comedies, dramas, musicals, cabaret, opera and ballet of the highest quality, much of it home-grown.
France
France has varied and interesting regions for students to visit, offering various venues across the country for your students to perform, from the magic of Disneyland Resort Paris, to the scenic French Alps. Also combine a historical tour visiting Bayeux, with a performance at Bayeux Cathedral, or join in with the Celtic Music and Dance festivals held each summer in Brittany.
Spain
Throughout the year Spain hosts a range of musical and theatrical festivals across the regions, from the heart of Madrid to the Catalan coast. The cosmopolitan city of Barcelona offers an extensive calender of music theatre and dance throughout the year and performances for pupils can also be arranged in this vibrant city.
Belgium
We can offer tours for drama and music students to Ostend the cultural capital on the Belgian coast and the charming city of Bruges, also known as the ‘Venice of the North’ with its intimate streets and canals. Both tours can be combined with a visit to Ypres, to observe the poignant Last Post.
Italy
Opera is at the heart of Italy’s culture and the country is a fantastic destination for a music tour. École can arrange performances at various locations throughout Italy, enjoy the contrast of dramatic mountains and sandy coves in Lake Garda, the enchanting city of Venice or the beautiful town of Verona, ideal for students studying Shakespeare.
Austria
Austria is a beautiful country for music students. Germany
Choose from vibrant cities with amazing architecture, enchanting

endless in Germany. Visit the fabulous Cologne Carnival when the city
comes to life with floats, fancy dress and traditional fashion. Open air
concerts can also be arranged in the Rhine and Moselle Valley, an area
shaped by myths, legends and fairytales.
Holland
From windmills to canals, tulip blooms to clogs, the Netherlands is a
country of great variety. Small in size, yet big in events, attractions
and activities, there is plenty for students to learn about. Tours and
performances can be arranged in the capital of Amsterdam, a city with
a diverse array of world class entertainment, with hundreds of venues
across the city and regular festivals, ideal for music and dance students.
Poland
The homeland of Chopin and Penderecki, Poland hosts many cultural music events throughout the year. Along with the famous Chopin Piano competition and the Wieniawski Violin competition, the country also hosts festivals featuring jazz, country, contemporary and folk music. Poland is an ideal tour to combine with the history or art department, visit the former capital of Krakow, rich in culture, or make the emotional journey to Auschwitz, a moving experience for all.
